Efektivitas Antihiperkolesterolemia Ekstrak Etanol Dari Bagian Batang Dan Buah Tumbuhan Ciplukan (Physalis Angulata L.) pada Tikus Putih Hiperkolesterolemia

Tumbuhan ciplukan (Physalis angulata. L) banyak digunakan secara tradisional sebagai obat antikanker, diabetes, hepatitis, antibakteri, malaria, anemia, obat asma dan lainnya. Tumbuhan ciplukan banyak mengandung senyawa fenol dan flavonoid yang memiliki efek sebagai antioksidan. Beberapa antioksidan yang terkandung pada tumbuhan ciplukan seperti quersetin, kaemferol dan asam fenolat dilaporkan memiliki aktivitas antihiperkolesterolemia. Penelitian ini mempelajari efek antihiperkolesterolemia dari bagian tumbuhan ciplukan yaitu batang dan buah. Hewan percobaan dibagi 5 kelompok yaituKelompok I, II dan III adalah kelompok kontrol yaitu kontrol positif yang diberi MDLT, Kontrol negatif hanya diberi makanan standar dan NaCMC 0,5% dan kontrol pembanding yang diberi MDLT dan simvastatin dosis 1,8 mg/200g bb. Kelompok IV adalah kelompok yang diberi MDLT dan ekstrak batang sedang kelompok V adalah kelompok yang diberi MDLT dan ekstrak buah tumbuhan ciplukan. Kelompok IV dan V masing-masingnya diuji dengan tiga variasi dosis yaitu dosis 200, 400 dan 800 mg/kgBB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak batang tumbuhan ciplukan sangat signifikan dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol total, trigliserida dan LDL plasma tikus percobaan, sedang ekstrak buah sangat signifikan dalam meningkatkan HDL plasma tikus percobaan.
